Verba's "Rebuilt" Dashboard Is copied from AurInfer, Word for Word. Full Expose - 2026.

On 18 September 2025 Verba announced a dashboard "completely rebuilt from the ground up". It has AurInfer's menu and home-screen text word for word, and AurInfer's four-step creation flow, all on YouTube from AurInfer four weeks earlier. Now Verba has deleted the announcement. What is it trying to hide?

Verba's "Rebuilt" Dashboard Is copied from AurInfer, Word for Word. Full Expose - 2026.

On 18 September 2025, Verba (verba.ink) told its users that its dashboard had been "completely rebuilt from the ground up".

From the ground up? The "rebuilt" app has AurInfer's sidebar menu and AurInfer's home-screen text, word for word, with "Verbs" swapped in for "Characters". It has AurInfer's four-step character-creation flow, down to AurInfer's field labels.

AurInfer had all of it on YouTube four weeks before Verba's "rebuild". Before that "rebuild", Verba's app looked nothing like it.

We'll say it plainly: Verba copied AurInfer's dashboard and passed it off as a redesign.

And now Verba has deleted the announcement of that "rebuild" from its Discord.

AurInfer's statement: AurInfer's dashboard has looked this way since launch. It was never redesigned. AurInfer has never copied Verba.

Four YouTube videos with their upload dates: Verba's original app in July 2025, AurInfer's app on 21 August 2025, and Verba's rebuilt app on 3 November 2025

The four videos as YouTube shows them, with each upload date boxed in red.

Every date that decides who came first comes from YouTube, Discord or another public record that neither company controls. None of them can be backdated.

How we know

  • The dates aren't ours. YouTube stamps the moment a video is uploaded, and a video can't be swapped afterwards. Discord stamps every message. We also used Bluesky's and ImgBB's servers, website-certificate logs and domain records.
  • Anyone can check the dates. They come from public videos, public posts and the code Verba's website sends to every visitor, captured on 11–12 October 2026.
  • The side-by-side screenshots are AurInfer's own records. AurInfer sent them to Verba with its notice of 5 October 2026. The same screens appear in the dated videos and posts listed under "Check it yourself".

1. AurInfer had it first: 21 August 2025

Frames from AurInfer's walkthrough video, uploaded to YouTube on 21 August 2025.

On 21 August 2025, AurInfer posted a walkthrough of its app on YouTube. It shows:

  • The sidebar menu. HOME (Your Characters, Explore), ACCOUNT (Billing, Settings, Applications, Overview) and HELP (User Manual, System Status, Contact Us). It's easiest to read at 2:58.
  • The dashboard. A "Good morning, …" greeting above two sections, "Recently Used" and "Made by You" (1:14 and 4:01).
  • The four-step creation flow. Step 1 is "Let's set up your character profile": a banner, an avatar, then name, age, birth date and tags. Then come "Design your character's AI Brain", "Craft your character's personality" and "Review your Character" (1:18 to 2:57).

The frames above are YouTube's small previews. Play the video at those times to read every label.

Four weeks later, Verba announced its "rebuild".

2. Verba before its "rebuild": July 2025

Videos of Verba posted on YouTube in July 2025 show a completely different app: a sketch-style "Verba Dashboard" that looked like peppa pig productions with hand-drawn borders, and a sidebar of Dashboard, Create Verb, Library, Analytics, Premium and Settings. Creating a bot started with pasting in a Discord bot token.

There was no ACCOUNT or HELP menu, no "Recently Used" and no "Made by You". None of it.

3. 18 September 2025: Verba announces a "rebuild"

Verba's announcement in its Discord server, 18 September 2025, shown exactly as posted.

Four weeks after AurInfer's video, Verba told its Discord that "the entire Verba Dashboard has been completely rebuilt from the ground up". Its list of new features includes "sidebar navigation" and an "Overview Page". AurInfer's sidebar already had an "Overview" page under ACCOUNT. The date is on the post itself, and the message's ID, which Discord's servers set, records the same date: 18 September 2025.

Verba has since deleted this post from its Discord. See section 8.

4. What Verba's "rebuilt" app took from AurInfer

The sidebar menu

AurInfer's sidebar (left) and Verba's rebuilt sidebar (right). The red boxes mark the matching items.

Verba's new sidebar has AurInfer's ACCOUNT section — Billing, Settings, Overview — and AurInfer's HELP section — User Manual, System Status, Contact Us — in the same order. Only AurInfer's "Applications" item is missing.

These aren't standard labels. Shapes' sidebar read Home, Shape Friends, Announcements, Favorites, DMs and Rooms, and the open-source template both apps are built on says "Support / Feedback / Get Help". Of everything we checked, only two products use "User Manual / System Status / Contact Us", or "Overview" under ACCOUNT: AurInfer, and Verba after its "rebuild". That's not a convention. That's AurInfer's menu.

Verba was still serving that exact menu on 12 October 2026. Here it is in Verba's own code:

The home screen, word for word

The home-screen text of AurInfer, Verba and Shapes side by side

Verba's new home screen repeats AurInfer's text line for line:

  • "Recently Used", with "Continue where you left off" underneath.
  • "Made by You" with a count badge, and "AI Characters you created or own" underneath — which Verba turns into "AI Verbs you created or own".

Shapes never used these lines. AurInfer did.

The greeting line "Ready to create something amazing today?" matches too, and so does the "Show: N" control next to "Made by You".

The character creation flow

AurInfer's and Verba's creation forms, with Shapes' labels for comparison.

Verba's rebuilt creation flow has four steps and says "Step N of 4", like AurInfer's. Its first step matches AurInfer's layout and labels:

  • a banner with an overlapping profile picture;
  • name, age with an age-rule note, "Birth Date" and "Tags * (minimum 3, max 5)";
  • an AI button that reads "Generate w/ AI" — abbreviation and all.

Discord limits tags to five, but the "minimum 3" rule and that exact wording are AurInfer's. All of it is still in the code Verba was serving on 12 October 2026. AurInfer's four-step flow is on YouTube on 21 August 2025; Verba's rebuilt creation page first appears on YouTube on 3 December 2025.

Fingerprints in Verba's code

Interface text found in both Verba's and AurInfer's code

Text found in both Verba's and AurInfer's website code, and nowhere in Shapes'.

The code Verba's website sends to every visitor contains eight pieces of interface text that also appear in AurInfer's code and nowhere in Shapes' — including the HELP menu items, "Generate w/ AI" and the search box text "Search characters...".

And Verba left a giveaway. It calls everything a "Verb", yet its on-screen text still says "character", AurInfer's word: "Create a Character", "Search characters...", "Explore Characters", "Unlimited Characters".

5. Verba's excuse: "Shapes inspired us"

What Shapes had, and what it never had

Shapes.inc in 2024 and 2025.

Verba says its redesign was inspired by Shapes.inc. So we went through Shapes' dated screens from 2024 and 2025.

Shapes did have some general ideas: a row of recent characters, a row headed "Made by You", a Premium button and character-settings tabs. Plenty of apps share ideas like these.

But Shapes never used AurInfer's words. Not "Recently Used". Not "Continue where you left off". Not "… you created or own", "Birth Date" or "(minimum 3, max 5)". And no ACCOUNT and HELP menu with "Overview", "User Manual", "System Status" and "Contact Us".

Verba's rebuilt app has every one of them — and every one matches AurInfer, not Shapes.

So if Shapes was the inspiration, where did Verba get AurInfer's words?

7. What Verba's denial leaves out

AurInfer raised this with Verba directly in 2025, and formally on 5 October 2026. In its reply of 11 October 2026, Verba denied copying, said Shapes.inc was its main inspiration, said AurInfer itself resembles Shapes, and called the similarities common conventions.

Look at what Verba didn't say. It didn't dispute that AurInfer came first. It wrote: "The sequence of product releases does not, by itself, establish that Verba's implementation was derived from AurInfer."

The record answers the rest:

  • AurInfer's version was public first — on YouTube, four weeks before Verba's "rebuild".
  • Verba's earlier app was different — videos from July 2025 show it.
  • The words are AurInfer's — not Shapes', and not common conventions.

8. Then the announcement disappeared

Verba's 18 September 2025 announcement as AurInfer preserved it, beside Verba's #updates channel on 12 October 2026 without it

Left: Verba's announcement as AurInfer preserved it. Right: Verba's #updates channel on 12 October 2026.

AurInfer's notice of 5 October 2026 cited Verba's 18 September 2025 announcement as evidence, with its link: message 1418107541421822076 in Verba's #updates channel. AurInfer copied that link before the post was deleted. The same notice formally demanded that Verba preserve evidence, naming "Discord messages" and "records concerning the September 2025 revamp". It said relevant evidence should not be "selectively deleted, concealed, materially altered, or deliberately rendered unavailable".

Verba's reply of 11 October 2026 acknowledged receipt of the notice and put this in writing: "This position should not be construed as a refusal to preserve relevant evidence."

On 12 October 2026, the announcement was gone. Verba's #updates channel now jumps from a post of 12 August 2025 to a post of 13 October 2025.

It didn't vanish along with a deleted account. When a Discord account is deleted, its posts stay up under the name "Deleted User", like the two posts on either side of the gap. The 18 September post isn't there at all: the post itself was removed.

So here is the obvious question. If Verba didn't copy AurInfer, why delete the one post that dates its "rebuild"? What is Verba trying to hide?

AurInfer's view: deleting that post is the opposite of preserving evidence. AurInfer believes it was removed to hide when Verba's "rebuilt" dashboard appeared. It won't work. AurInfer kept a copy, shown unaltered in section 3, and the message's ID still records 18 September 2025.
